What is the festival of Eid al-Adha?

Muslims believe that Eid al-Adha is one of the most holy festivals in the Islamic calendar.

It takes place on the tenth day in the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar. This month is called Dhul-Hijjah.

Did you know that Eid al-Adha is also called the Festival of Sacrifice? It marks the extent of the Prophet Ibrahim’s (Peace Be Upon Him) devotion to Allah.
